π¦ Batch: up to 50 images at onceWhat is an AI metadata remover?
An AI metadata remover is a tool that strips C2PA, XMP, EXIF, and other AI-related metadata from image files. Platforms like Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook scan for this metadata and add an "AI Info" or "Made with AI" label when they find it. Removing the metadata before you upload prevents the label from appearing. This tool runs entirely in your browser β your images never leave your device.
Major platforms adopted C2PA-based detection in 2024 to flag AI-generated content. The downside: even a small AI-assisted edit (e.g. background removal or color grading) can trigger a label on the whole post. An AI metadata remover is useful for creators who use AI as one step in a larger workflow and want to avoid the tag, or who prefer to control how their work is presented.
What does this tool strip?
Platforms mainly look for two kinds of markers: C2PA (a signed provenance format used by Adobe, OpenAI, and others) and XMP/EXIF fields that store software names, prompts, or generation parameters. This tool removes both, plus IPTC and other AI-related tags.
- C2PA content credentials (Adobe, OpenAI, Microsoft)
- XMP generation parameters (Midjourney, DALLΒ·E, Stable Diffusion)
- EXIF software and camera tags
- IPTC AI attribution fields
- PNG text chunks and other AI markers
To strip AI metadata from your photo before you upload, use the tool above β it removes C2PA, XMP, and the rest in one go. After stripping, platforms can no longer see AI provenance and won't add the label.
How to use it
- Upload your image above (JPG, PNG, or WebP)
- Leave all removal options enabled, or choose what to strip
- Download the cleaned file
- Upload to your platform β no AI label
The whole flow takes under 30 seconds and requires no account. You can process multiple images in one go (batch up to 50) β useful if you clean assets before a campaign or regularly post AI-touched work. Optional: after stripping metadata, you can re-inject neutral EXIF (camera make/model and date) so the file still looks like a normal photo. Run the tool right before you upload so the file you publish is the cleaned one.
Platforms it works for
The same metadata triggers labels on Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, and TikTok. All of them scan for C2PA and related fields on upload, so one cleaned file works everywhere β you don't need different steps per platform.
Use the same cleaned image for feed posts, Stories, Reels, and TikTok videos (including cover thumbnails). Meta (Instagram, Facebook), Pinterest, and TikTok all apply labels when they detect AI metadata; stripping it before upload avoids the tag across all of them. No need to run the tool again for each site.
Does removing metadata change the image?
No. Only the metadata (invisible tags inside the file) is removed. Pixels, colors, and resolution stay the same. The file may be slightly smaller because metadata has been stripped; quality and appearance are unchanged.
Limitations
This tool removes metadata only. It does not remove pixel-level watermarks (e.g. SynthID or similar embeddings). Platform detection algorithms may change over time, so we can't guarantee that a cleaned file will never be labeled in the future. Use only on content you own or have rights to.
