Remove AI Label from TikTok — Fix False Positives

TikTok automatically labels content when C2PA metadata is detected — even when you used AI tools for minor edits on otherwise real footage.
This tool removes that metadata.

The TikTok false positive problem

Multiple creators have reported that TikTok's AI detection flagged their genuine, real-world footage as "AI-generated" because they used tools like Runway ML for background removal, CapCut's AI features for color grading, or other AI-assisted editing tools.

The tool itself embedded C2PA metadata in the exported file — metadata that TikTok's system then detected and used to apply an "AI-generated" label. The content was real. The label was wrong.

How to fix it

For images and thumbnails: Use our tool to strip C2PA metadata before uploading.

For videos (coming soon): Re-export through a neutral encoder (HandBrake, ffmpeg) to strip C2PA from video files before upload. Our Pro plan will include video metadata stripping in a future update.

TikTok's policy context

TikTok requires creators to label AI-generated content that depicts realistic scenes. The platform uses C2PA detection as an automated enforcement method. If your content is genuinely not AI-generated — or only uses AI for minor, non-deceptive edits — removing the residual metadata is a reasonable step to prevent false positive labeling.

TikTok AI label remove: images and thumbnails

If you need to TikTok AI label remove from your content, start with images and thumbnails. Upload your file here, select all metadata removal options, and download the cleaned version. Use it for cover art, thumbnails, or any still images you post. For video files, C2PA stripping via HandBrake or ffmpeg is the current workaround until our Pro video feature ships. Many creators report success after cleaning thumbnail images alone.
